Chapel of Rest

We welcome relatives and friends to visit our chapels of rest and pay their last respects.

We believe that in asking Anstey and District Funeral Services to look after a member of your family, you know that whether or not you are able to visit our chapel, every care will be taken of your loved one.

We know that a viewing is a traumatic time for a family and therefore our Chapels are designed to give you and your family the privacy you need to say a final goodbye to your loved one, and to do so in a comfortable environment, free from noise and other distractions. If you would like to visit the Chapels, please do not hesitate to ring us on 0116 234 0548.

Our office has chapels of rest for you to spend time with your loved ones. These chapels are private and are set aside for you and you alone as long as the deceased is in our care. They are simply decorated and we are happy for you to adorn the chapel as you deem appropriate. Our Chapels have all been blessed in accordance with the rites of the Anglican church and Catholic churches in the presence of representatives of the Free churches, and we have found in the past that relatives and friends find considerable comfort in visiting to pay their final respects. Chapel viewing times are 9.00 am until 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, out of hours and weekend viewing is permitted but an appointment is required, simply telephone us to give as much notice as is feasibly possible.
